I recently got in touch with them to see what ranges they had and to get an idea of options. Their website asked for registration in order to then view ranges and prices - I did this but then got a simple page saying they'd contact me...warning bells starting to ring for me here...

I then got a call from them a few days later asking to arrange a free design appointment. I said that first I'd like to see the kinds of ranges they do and get an idea of price - the lady on the phone said no problem that she could email me that.

I then got a one pager by email with a couple of bland show photos saying contact them for an appointment. I'm not liking my interaction with this firm so far!

Given they pop up on Facebook so much and have whole threads of comments either wildly enthusiastic or questioning their low prices and website, I posted my own comment saying I wasn't so impressed with the information they'd provided so far and it didn't fill me with confidence as a prospective customer....this was deleted from their comments thread in under an hour without a response to me ( I wasn't being critical, just asking for more product info). Nice.

Now I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. The other firms I am looking at give me an idea of carcass, door and worktop cost so I can compare.

By the way, gave my email address to Stil Haus a couple of weeks ago and got this email today (not purporting to be related at all):

Dear Mrs [my name]
We hope that you dont’t think that we are rude by contacting you directly but we have been told that you may be looking at buying a new kitchen. We would like the opportunity to sell you one and you dont have to pay us a penny untill you receive it. Please will you look at our website www.solidwoodkitchen.co.uk And if you are interested then please email us back on this email.
We promise that we will beat any other kitchen companies’ price and if you don’t like it then simply just tell our driver to take it away and don’t pay a penny.

We really are sorry once more for this intrusion but God loves a tryer. Just give us a chance please.

Yours,
Tony Warrington

I looked at the site and whilst it says nothing about Stil Haus, it asks for the same details in order to look at any prices/details and uses some of the same stock photos as Stil Haus's website.

Thanks but no thanks

I was going to come on here and ask the exact same question so thanks OP - looks like they are a bit dodgy.

Does anyone know of a reliable source for ex display kitchens?
