    Morning all,

I didn't get chance to post yesterday so just caught up.
LW I've had two pre booked appointments cancelled in the last month. All I'm trying to do is arrange a blood test advised by the hospital when I returned home eight weeks ago! They've offered a telephone consultation next Tuesday, omg it's like trying to get an audience with the Pope.
    moorhen congrats on your outstanding:D
Need to pop to the travel agents this morning and pick up a paper.
We have a few jobs to do in the house before we have my brother and his wife and niece and nephew home from Australia in June. We shall write a list today.
Very excited about my automatic car. At least I will be able to pop to the shops under my own steam
    Have a great Saturday x

Moorhen, really well done to your school.

I couldn't sleep last night and then when I did I had all sorts of strange dreams. Probably my mind was on the fact that DD was driving up to Yorkshire after a busy week. Her BF doesn't drive, although she got him lessons for Christmas so I hope he'll learn soon (he has taken his test before but after failing 3 times he gave up in disgust).

DH is at the gym and then will be helping DS with his fence. I don't quite know what I'm going to do today. Maybe clear up my sewing room (aka dining room) which has become a bit of a dumping ground for some reason).

    Have a good day all.
  • Good morning everyone :)

Been up since early but busy tidying up. DH has just taken an old TV to the charity shop, so this is my chance for a quick catch up and then we are off out. Weather is beautiful so need to make the most of it, asI think it's due to change tonight.

Need to figure out what we are having for dinner as GDD is staying and she won't be too keen on our low carb choices!

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day :)

    Morning all,

just noticed the date. Its bills day today for me. I'll have to check what money has gone out of my account, being Saturday I'm not sure they will have gone out today.

I'm sitting here, tears rolling down my face. No I'm not upset I seem to have developed a severe allergic reaction to makeup. Not sure if its the eyeshadow, mascara or kohl pencil I always use. This aging thing is really no fun, no fun at all.

By now 'Youngest' should be at his Aunties, she's asked him to look after her business in her absence. 'Youngest' isn't impressed and neither is hubby as he's got to take him (well its his sister and why should he walk?) Its a good few miles away and his Sister is in Blackpool. She wanted him there at 9.30 and its now nearly 10.30. I guess none of us are in no rush to move.

I had planned in my head, on the way back from taking him to his Sisters I would pick up a wall mirror for my living room. Ive been after something for the largest wall in the living room for ages and ive finally found what I want. Of course all this has gone pearshaped as my daughter has asked me to have my Grandson for a couple of hours from 11. Ive got a feeling I'm going to get nothing done that I wanted to today.

Hubby is in a foul mood. Several of his friends have emigrated abroad and are doing well for themselves.... and of course he's stuck here. As ive told him, they have emigrated taking their wives and families with them. We would be totally on our own.

Right, I'd best motivate myself (and the men).

    Have a great day all,

    tru Congratulations to DD :T

LWW have a virtual ((hug)) from me xx. I hope that you can shake the black dog soon.

Moorhen that is a brilliant result :D

Lovely sunny day and I have washing on the line.

DH has been to work and tried fitting a new switch to the car, but it looks like it wasn't the switch at fault it is the motor, so he is going to the breakers on Monday. He has got to get it sorted quickly because the car goes in for its MOT on Friday  I think that this is the last year that we will keep it, it is starting to cost money, we have already spent £300 on it this month :(

Latest developments in the Saga of the Doctors Appointment....

I had another look at the online booking system this morning; still no appointments after 31 March, although the dropdown menu states that the diary should go up to 11 April. So Mr LW drove me to the surgery, to see if we could sort something out.

I explained to the receptionist that I'd been trying, unsuccessfully, to book a meds review for early April; she asked me for photo ID and said she'd reset my login. I explained that didn't need doing, it was that the diary isn't showing the dates the dropdown menu says it should.

"Oh" says she, we can't do appointments for April". I was a tad surprised - after all, it's now 1st March, and their website says you can book 6 weeks ahead. Anyways, long story short, apparently the Doctors haven't yet handed their diaries for April across for the admin staff to put the dates up. I'm now informed it should be done later this week. Probably Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully.

So I shall just have to continue to check the system on a daily basis til the dates in April appear; I'll likely need to get in quick, as £10 to a dog biscuit, there'll be a whole load of other people in the same situation, all wanting appointments at the same time.

    What a flippin' farce!

    Evening all :hello:

Late on for me. Been a busy day doing paperwork, visiting my grandparents and also been to see a friend who was exhibiting at a local wedding fayre, took her a bag of malteasers to keep her going! Wasn't allowed any of the processco as I am not engaged - my OH thought this was funny, I told him I had picked up some leaflets on the way round to keep people happy and he just smiled

Last night's plan of going out with our groupon voucher fell through due to the couple we were going with not being able to go until next week, so I made homemade pizza & chips which was really nice. However, OH taking me to a beautiful local pub this evening though for a meal - a place that is a little up market but what you pay for the meal is worth every bite, its delish and the open fire is all so romantic :j

Weather has been cold and sunny here today, so glad there was no rain for a nice change. Hopefully the ground is going to start drying up soon, then we can get out on our allotment.

Well enough rambling this evening, time to get ready to be taken out by my darling OH

Hugs and happy thoughts to those who are needing!!

    Happy Saturday
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
