Grants for charity? ie for solar panels or lighting upgrades

As a reg'd charity, are there any grants out there for items such as:

Lighting upgrades to change to LED to keep cost down.
Solar pannels.

Most charities should only be paying 5% VAT on electricity and gas.

I work with charities, and find many do not know this, and are entitled to a refund going back 6years
