Help! How do I reclaim with no hard history?

Hello there, I wonder if anyone can help...

I purchased some sofas in 2007 and paid PPI along with my monthly payments. I no longer have the hard copy contract that I signed between the company and I, nor do I have the contract for the company who gave me the credit, (payments started the year after purchase).

Is there any way that I can still make a claim? A Claims Management company cold-called me a few weeks ago and I mentioned this to them and they said that I could make a claim, that their fees were 40% and that having no papers matter as the companies should both still have the details of the purchase and I have proof of the monthly payments on my bank statements.

I'd be grateful if someone could tell me whether sorting this is worth my while or not.

Many thanks

You complain to the company who sold you it, and only you know whether it's worthwhile or not.

I'm new to all of this so have been asking myself the same thing, amongst lots of other bits..

Ayway I think you need to start by looking here:

EDIT - I cant post links as Im new.. GO TO THE MAIN PAGE CALLED 'Reclaim PPI for Free'. Look at step 1

There is a template letter for any closed accounts. Write to them and they should be able to give you copies of agreements etc..

Which costs £10 a go and will only work if a) they still have the agreement and b) the PPI actually shows on the agreement.
