Hi, first post here;), I am new to this and thinking of changing supplier and would like to know, if you have a debit on your gas & electric bills do you need to clear it first or does it go over to your new supplier. I am sorry if that sounds bit dumb but haven't ever changed before, thanks

If you have a pre-payment meter you can carry up to £500 debit across to a new supplier.
