What's more secure - bifolding doors or patio sliding doors?

Anyone have any comments on what is more secure, a run of bifolding doors or the large sliding glass patio doors?

Thanks.

  • If security is your thing a wall is most secure. You won't get a sliding door that opens like a bi fold as you'll always lose half your opening with the door.

Because it wont fold, it has more rigidity.

They can be made more secure however sliding doors are often not as secure because they can be lifted out.

If security is a concern ask for exterior glass to be laminated rather than toughened.
