Signing off JSA for holiday

Going to a special birthday abroad booked before I was made redundant. As the tickets are cheaper well in advance. On contribution JSA. I know my jsa will stop will I be able to claim when I come back or is that it. Once you sign off all done and dusted.will my council tax benefit stop as well. I know some will be saying you should not be going away. But when you are working you plan ahead. Don't think of redundancy.

You can do a rapid reclaim instead of applying everything again.0

Here's a link about the rapid reclaim

I would tell the council of what is happening as Job Centre will inform them that you have ended your JSA claim and your HB will automatically stop.0 -
I would also like to know what's happens with the council tax b0

Thanks for the responses. Nice to know that some people on here are not judgemental. As I have read in other posts

You can get HB for up to 13 weeks whilst away from your home. CT too, but the rules are slightly different, the test being 'residency' rather than 'occupancy'. Tell your HB office what's happening and you should be OK.0
