tab2 10.1 firmware

Ok I have a Samsung Galaxy tab2 10.1 P-5100. After doing a factory restore reset and it currently has firmware version 4.0.4 however online articles says latest version is 4.2.2. Yet tablet says I has the latest version.


Have emailed Samsung but will have to wait 48hr for reply. What version do other people have on theirs?

I have the same version as you.

Not sure where you got your information from but that is the latest version released by Samsung.

I think you are getting confused between Android version and Samsung Galaxy Android. Samsung will only apply updates to hardware if it can support it (and they have capacity to test it out).

Updates you get them when your supplier/ carrier updates .
Google >> Android >> Samsung >>> Your supplier .

All i can see on the update sites is 4.2.2 For O2 and Vodafone

Have you checked the update with both Kies and OTA .
