signing on 4 months, received a personal advisers interview letter

signing on 4 months, received a personal advisers interview letter to come in on Monday.

Is this just an automatic thing? The strange thing is that only a few weeks ago after my permitted period ended and had a new JSA drawn up.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

In short - they can do this.
If they will choose to do this in all cases is rather irrelevant in general.

Thanks, any reason why they do this? Is it random or automatic?

Seams like a waste as everything the letter dealt with I did in my last meeting and my work is specialist so the js can't help anyway.

After four months they will expect you to expand your search area outside of your specialisation. This could be what the meeting is about?

Thanks, but that's the reason I'm confused - about two weeks ago a new js arrangement was drawn up and my search was expanded

It may just be an error on their part.

Having said that just turn up.

Even if you ring and someone says it is an error it is possible that it won't get passed on and you would face a sanction for not turning up. They tend to sanction and ask questions later!

    Thanks,

Yes will just turn up. Its annoying as I already had an appointment on that day and have to juggle some things about to get there for the last minute change.

Different Jobcentres do things differently. If it is inconvenient to attend at that day because of late notice you could phone and ask for it to be rearranged.

JCP has to use 2nd class post and all too often decides to book appts too late for the post. Usually appt letters never arrive or arrive late.

    All the best

The fact that it's annoying, silly or a waste of time, does not figure in Jobcentre world, in fact some may think it's a good thing.

Thanks, maybe they should start using email. The letter they sent has a few gaps so it doesn't tell me who actioned it.

Why on earth would it be a good thing?
