Hi everyone
Just had a quick look at you all! Hope those celebrating having postponed birthday treats OK. How is the flooding down there? I came home through huge thunder storm today. Driving home at late lunch time was awful.
I just had to go and check out our new M&S at the Fort, Edinburgh. Not very good by the way. OK if you want the odd thing in a hurry but it it not good for real stuff. Just go to the Gyle if you are local to me!
DD and family had a lovely time at wedding yesterday - no, nothing has happened. They were so complimented on our darling boys' behaviour throughout proceedings. I think other children were not so well behaved! Menu was totally not OK for the 5 or more preggie ladies there! Sweet made with raw egg, only cheese like brie on the cheese board and the only starter was pate. DH said she was starving and looked forward to buffet. She said it was awful - curled up sannies and sausage rolls! When she got married nearly 3 years ago her FIL & MIL paid the evening buffet (only 18 of us during the day) and they really pulled out the stops - we did the top of the range to cater for everyone. We felt if 100 plus just coming for the evening was important and yes it was. The food was fantastic.
Boys went to other grandparents about 7,30 last night (before speeches) - DD and SIL got home after 1 pm this morning. No drink but both of them felt very hung over this morning.
Kyle - glad you got the wedding bit over today. Hope DS1 enjoyed his birthday outing to Shrek.
Have got really red eyes - I posted something on the Vent Board and you would not believe the pms I have received. I was called a numpty granny because my neighbours away and I would not accept a Tesco delivery for them - they always let me know if I might have to sign for something! Neighbours taking up with Tesco. I have been left feeling - well- abused.

Have a (((((((((HUG))))))))))))))) GB.........why should you accept a delivery for a neighbour if you were not expecting it!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an issue with Tesco at the moment. I had a delivery last week and the chap told me he was not supposed to deliver upstairs to the first floor nor was he allowed to leave his van!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How the h*** does he deliver to the back door of houses etc?????????????? I am waiting for Tesco to contact me, they should have phoned on Thursday, tomorrow is Monday.
I am not a happy bunny..........Asda will not deliver they say its too far from their stores, Sainsbury the same, so unless I am prepared to shop once a week (which I'm not) I cannot see us resolving the problem..........I find I spend more if I shop once a week..........I like to do a big shop every 4th week and get fresh fruit etc once a fortnight. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hi everyone, feeling a bit more normal today, DH's shoulder not paining him much but looks a real mess, just glad he had a cotton shirt on and not a manmade fibre one.grannybroon wrote: »Have got really red eyes - I posted something on the Vent Board and you would not believe the pms I have received. Hi Everyone! Seems days since I managed to get on here - DS and his lovely partner and DGD arrived very unexpectedly last Wednesday evening - I've been doing my doting GM act ever since (when not writing comments and proofreading reports for every child in the school!)
Mioliere - that wedding sounded really wonderful - fantastic memories which will stay for always.
Grannybroon - ignore!!!! ((((HUGS)))
Love and ((HUGS)) to all who need them - and good luck to all those trying to give up smoking today!Resolution:

Thanks for your support but it really is unbelievable what 3 posters said to me. Yes, perhaps I should keep to here.
Thank you all.
Love and hugs.

Hullo my OS friends!! Just a quick hullo from me as t'internet is free in this place and was missing you all!!
You can see from my signature where I've been so far, and where I am. Loving Bologna, had pizza last night and it was lush!! And have tried the gelato and it's mmmmmm! Pizza and ice cream just won't be the same now. We have been away travelling for 4 weeks now and we still have another 8 weeks left, I'm really enjoying it.
You'll all be pleased to know that we've been doing pretty well food wise and we've been keeping a spending diary every day so we know where we are with money and have been doing a rough meal plan when we get to places based on facilities, the OS ways have served us well and we've eaten well a lot. Must look at ms london's thread about hostel food. It can be pretty frustrating at times, especially when there are no cooking facilities, but we bought a kettle and have been making cous cous!!!
Love to you all my little cherubs and hope to chat soon, take care

Oh how I envy you, I would love to go travelling, but age and dosh, two very important details are against us..................France is as far as we get these days, would love to go to Italy, not so keen on Spain though, Portugal yes!!!
Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep in touch of you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have just had supper, pork, carrots, cabbage, courgette, new spuds from the allotment and red wine gravy, yum yum......followed by vienetta with a little cream and a couple of largish glasses of a very nice rose we bought back from France........roll on the end of august when we will be back for a day to top up the wine cellar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and various other bits we want to get.
We have had several rain storms, but just now the sun is out and its a very pleasant summerish evening, wish I was sitting on the loggia overlooking a garden somwhere in France................I am not however but in an apartment on the first floor of a sheltered housing scheme on the ourskirts of a large british city......oh well thats life!!!!!!!!!!!! If wishes were horses beggars would ride, as my grand mother used to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Don't know what happened to earlier post but I am watching concert too so not totally concentrating.
Really enjoyed the Quo and Sir TJ. Had to dance to Bryan Ferry last song - I think one of my favourite tracks. Went to see Rod in Glasgow last year - he was fantastic! Can you imagine what I will be like when he comes on??????????? OMG. What on earth do you think he will sing? GB might go totally over the top! Maybe GBDH on a promise - no actually he is sitting up watching Hibs under 21 against Japan until too past my bedtime!
