not able to view any pics on my pc, since i downloaded an anti malware program.. thats been uninstalled now, but still no pics!
seems I can only view when online (internet explorer)

Internet Explorer is now on version 11. Microsoft update their software because of exposed security flaws and exploits.
Have you tried another browser eg Chrome, Firefox, Opera?
What was the antimalware program you installed and ran?0 -
Right click on one of the pictures in your Pictures folder, and select 'open with', and see if Windows Picture Viewer is an option in there.0
