    Hello all.

Well todays test showed we think that his issues are as a result of his treatment for prostate cancer two years ago so nothing sinister and nothing that we need to worry about. Woo hoo!!!! To say we are thrilled is an understatement.

My studies are going well - just had results of marketing module and another good mark for this so I am chuffed with that too.

Have finished spending other vouchers I had for my birthday using the code for Next that I heard about here and have £5 left over for here too. Use quidco too so might even get cashback too??? but beggars can't be choosers. Feel dead proud of myself with the no money spend and have now got three new dresses to wear for work thanks to birthday pressies and vouchers.

Anyway will stop boring you all for now and sign off as should be doing work - its a work from home day but shattered to be honest.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Yes the dresses are always better if they are freebies. :j

Had some bad news with money saving during the week. I have a bank account that I pay for - can't remember what they are called properly - but it means I have a "free" overdraft up to £300. I have been using it to max my savings but I miscalculated this month and went past the limit. Will have to pay £6 next month for being stupid... SO pi$^ed off :(

So now I have to go right back to the drawing board and think a bit more. Obviously got a bit cocky.

Oh well looks like me a teenager have learned lessons this month.

    Hi all,

Time for update. Decided to follow someone's advice on here and read the books I have rather than buy any new ones - bit of a fool for new books which look great on the bookshelves but never get read. Finished one already written by Mitch Albom and have now started on Borstal Boy which has been on the shelf for YEARS....

However, confession time - have bought a book for uni which will be useful for this module and next one as well as work in general..... Felt almost sick pushing the button to purchase it. How times have changed.

It looks as if the 'chat' with the teenager has done good as the money that saved her at Easter meant she actually had some left over at the end of last month. We're about to put a calendar up in her bedroom so she will have a visual cue - can you tell I'm an OT? - of what is coming up in the month and make allowances with her spending to accomodate it?

Not sure there is much else to add for now. Weather here is lovely but uni work beckons.....

Have a great weekend all. TTFN xxx

Sounds a great plan with the calendar in the bedroom. Visual aids are really important with money organisation so I hope it works. I say money organisation as teenager isn't old enough to be suckered into saving to pay off debts yet! With the right education hopefully that will never happen either. I don't know why financial planning isn't a vital part of high school education - ooh don't let me go off on a tangent this lovely Sunday morning!!

Have a great bank holiday weekend! :) x

    Good evening all,

Well how are we all this evening? Isn't the weather shocking or is it just in the midlands? We had to put the fire on today and it has made me cross.... How are we supposed to save money if the fire or heating is on in May... yes I did have another jumper on but trying to study and so feel the cold more when I am supposed to be sitting still.

Getting a bit bored now - have had some spends this month which i didn't need and it has made me cross. :mad:I had been doing so well up until then. Still trying to save money into the pot but disappointed in me at the minute. Yes I haven't spent much but thats not the point. Feeling a bit stressed by work at the minute but I'm sure it will get better.:(

Have joined swagbucks but not sure what I am doing with that. Have got 60sb at the minute but not sure what that means for me.. This is typical I start into something and the don't really read it fully before I sign up for it.

So how are the rest of ye doing? Is the world treating you well? Daughter was dead chuffed at how little she has spent since our chat and she has filled in her calendar of what is coming up so she knows what she needs to save for the rest of the time.

Take care all and yes I am still alive...
