A glass is always full - half full of liquid and half full of air! It's up to you how you use the air :)

Hope you had a good weekend :)

    Hi

Yes the weekend went well although I found that I had gone off on a tangent on my assignment - due on Friday and needed to rethink. To be honest though it was not as if I had too much done. Quite the procrastinator.

I am just taking a quick break from the said piece and I'm up to nearly 1400 words... Woo hoo I will make Friday's deadline to hand it in complete with 3000 words.

How was your weekend sassychick? Hope the world was good

    Here's to a great week all x

  • Hi hon

Well at least you hadn't done too much so that's not too bad. Sometimes being a procrastinator can be beneficial!

I spent most of the weekend either making stuff or eating stuff so it was very productive and fun. The best bit of the day was when my little said she loved spending time "with my lovely mummy". Makes it all worth it.

Have a great week too! x

    Hi all,

Just a quick update for today - exam tomorrow and hence why I have been quiet on here lately (or procrastinating as I love doing). This week has been ok got the 2 assignments in on time and exam studying is going ok so all should be fine.
Spending - now there is another story - ALWAYS bring lunch to work but was going out on Wednesday or so I thought - got the days wrong. Doh! Had to buy lunch on Wednesday and then on Thursday when I should have been going out. What a pain. Where we chose was more expensive than I had hoped. So that has made a bit of a dent that I had not expected. What a pain.

Anyway dear diary I will be back on here properly after tomorrow to keep updating like I had planned when I set this up. Sealed pot challenge is going reasonably well though so thats not bad.

Take care and hope you all have a great weekend.....

  • Morning!

Always a bummer when you end up spending more than you thought but at least you've still got some month left to adjust the budget.

Well done on finishing you assignments - that must be a huge weight off your shoulders.

    Have a good day :)

    Hello all.

Yes I have been missing in action for a while. Brain went into meltdown after exam and assignment and have just looked at next terms work which I was looking forward to but having seen the work already have thought what the hell am I doing?

Have changed my signature as I managed to squirrel away more than I expected from my wages - really useful tips on here for things to do and make money more manageable which I am trying to follow. Really have found reading some of the diaries inspiring and hence why I am trying to make such an effort with putting more money away. Need to make sure I can have the whole amount in April 2015 to avoid paying interest.

Happy April to everyone - yeah a day early I know..

  • Hi Mags

Welcome back! I'm sure your studying and work will be worth it and that's the main thing to remember.

Glad these boards are helping you. They certainly helped me so much so that when I had a loss of income last month I was able to be ok as I'd been saving heaps - not something I could've said before!

    Have a great day :)

    What brilliant news sassy chick.....

There are such a mix of people who post on here that I find it brilliant - brings out the people watcher in me. The way I have been squirreling away bits and pieces (as read in other posts) has definitely made me think about every penny I spend. Not something I could usually say.

I think what it has taught me is that if only I had been sensible the mortgage could be gone by now too. I sense the next challenge once these debts are paid off.

Take care and I see you are doing really well in your signature - might go and look at the £6 a day challenge - not seen that one yet.

    Take care xx

  • Hiya

The £6 a day challenge is a personal one that one of the other diary owners sort of set me. I'm trying to get to Australia asap to visit my Aunt and due to her age & frailty I don't think I've got as long to save as I thought.

It was pointed out that if I did £6 a day I should have enough saved to go next Easter and that's my aim. I'm amazed at how well I'm doing and think once I've gone I'll be continuing this on in a different vein.

I agree with what you're saying about money management. I too would have probably paid a chunk of my mortgage off if I had started doing this earlier but 1) I didn't know you could make ops 2) I've had fun and 3) I'm was a bit rubbish before! lol

With our new found knowledge I'm sure we'll be quids in and mortgage free way before we should be! Have a good evening :) x

    Hi sassychick.

The £6 a day sounds like a great idea - some of the challenges set on here are so good and useful. How is the little one doing?

Thanks for all your encouragement. Have a great week ahead xx
