Flash light app?

Hi could any one recommend a 'flash light app' that dosn't allow/give permission for the app to use hardware such as the tablet's camera/ video?

For what operating system?

How do you expect it to work as a flashlight if it cannot control any hardware? Most use the camera's flash as the light for the torch

Hi.... Sony Experia Z Android 4.3...... yes after I sent msg I realised about the use of the camera. Just been checking permissions allowed & just wondered about use of video being allowed? Thank you for your quick reply

I don't have a flash on my smartphone (or even Flash )
so, is any app capable of making my screen brighter than I can adjust it to manually?

Alarm Clock Pro from iHandy Inc. for iPhone (not sure if they have an android version) has a flashlight function that doesn't use the phone's flash.

If you shake the phone when the app is open, ie displaying the alarm clock, the whole screen lights up. It's maybe not as bright as the camera flash would be but it works quite well.

Not sure if there's anyway you can make the screen brighter than the max though.
