marmite when I joined MSE I thought about a user name....I wanted something off the wall but epic as well. In the end something sounding Lord of the Rings-ish ...then the infamous Pan Galactic Gargleblaster popped into my head (Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy) and voila! Nargleblast was born.

Tomorrow is reluctantly going to have to be a spend day for me as I need to call into the shop on my way to work to buy something for my lunch. Had a lovely ham and cheese sandwich made for tomorrow and then remembered it's a fast day so can't eat meat Now have to buy a yucky healthy salad instead. Can't even have a crisp sandwich instead as I'm going off those for Lent:o I'm stuck lol

Wasn't there a character in the Mel Brooks film 'Young Frankenstein' called Igor?He was a hunchback.

Funny the things we do to save money.....
OH installed a bidet in our ensuite shower a few years ago, but it hasn't been used much because the water took ages to heat up (and cold water on your unmentionables is not nice). So he took it out yesterday and I, being in MSE mode, suggested we use it as a plant container on the patio. He suggested giving it a weathered look by painting it with yoghurt. I had heard of this being done with terracotta pots, but not with glazed porcelain, so I thought I'd have a go.


So you see, m'Lud, at the time of the murder, I had the perfect alibi...

I was on the patio rubbing yoghurt into my bidet...

Gawd,t'internet is such a time-sponge,isn't it?Came here to quickly post,and instead have spent the last 30 minutes Googling nargles,Igors,and other associated stuffs.Jeez,the stuff I didn't know I needed to know

No, but Mr Pratchett's Discworld books feature servants of the Igor variety and I suspect our Igor may be a distant cousin that nobody talks about.
