Sorry if this sounds a bit thick but could someone tell me
which button on my remote control to hit to check to see
if my tv is on HDMI please.
The sound system isn't working and experience with my old tv tells me that
the sound system only works when tv is on HDMI.
Hubby will insist on hitting buttons without looking and I think he has changed it by accident.
Many thanks.

If your sound system is fed by HDMI instead of optical, it must be plugged into the HDMI(ARC) socket on the TV. On my new Panasonic, that's the centre of the 3 HDMI sockets and is labelled HDMI 2 (ARC).
Then, to scroll through the various inputs (e.g. Sky box or PVR), press the AV button (top right on my remote)Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
