scan the machine regularly with AVG, adware and spy/search (or something along those lines).
we have cleared everything up this evening again but every time i find somethign in a search in google my link from there seems to take me to monster somethign which is a site with other links. any tips appreciated as really annoying.

i have just had my toshiba computer fixed. the guarantee has now run out after 1 year . is there anywhere i can get a guarantee that is affordable. i paid £1400 for mine so i think it really should have a guarantee. last time there was something wrong on the motherboard and toshiba were going to charge £500 (and they were more or less the only ones who could do it) . we managed to negotiate not to pay for this so I worry that something could go wrong again. thankjs;)

once you have followed that then please do a hijackthis log for me (install the program in it's own directory, do not run it from a temp directory)
