Just to remind people about Combined Parking Solutions, and the fact that they had access to the DVLA Registered Keeper details suspended for giving misleading information to drivers.
BBC Watchdog even reported on this

So folks remember all the good times when all these companies lost a rather large amount of money, and take satisfaction in the fact one of those misleading companies was Combined Parking Solutions :rotfl:

.....the DVLA suspended Excel’s access to their database for three months because of another breach - issuing misleading information to drivers.
The DVLA has also suspended five other companies for issuing misleading information to drivers.“We take the management and the control of our data extremely seriously. But we also have to strike a balance in terms of the data that we provide to organisations that have reasonable cause to have that data...” Says DVLA spokesperson Phil Bushby.

Got to love their legal page though

http://www.combinedparkingsolutions.com/legal-issues/
"The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (for tickets issued after 1st October 2012 in England & Wales) now results in the registered keeper being liable to pay the charge if they are unable or unwilling to provide the name and address of the driver – It is also a criminal offence under Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006 to dishonestly make a false representation on the form nominating a false driver, which could lead to a term of imprisonment of up to 10years and a fine upon conviction on indictment."They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0 -
