CPP and Barclays - pre 2005

Hi

I have got my form for CPP claim for ID protection - which was sold to me over the phone after saying no several times and being told ID theft was a real threat to me. I was looking to submit a claim but at the bottom it asks you to sign to release CPP and business partners and affiliates from further liability.

I want to claim against Barclays card protection which I was sold to me when I got a Barclaycard for emergencies when I was travelling abroad for a year in the mid 1990s - I was told that if it was stolen I was liable for all costs - so being i guess naive I really was concerned about this and bought the policy which I continued to hold for quite a few years, until CPP rang me up and told me I had to also consider ID theft.....

Question is: By signing this document do I release Barclaycard from liability? Not sure who CPPs affiliates are??? Or can I still pursue this? I have never claimed on any of the policies

thanks
