Cupboard in communal area containing power meters - generic key?

So there's a cupboard in the communal hallway of our building that contains everyone's electricity meters. It's locked, but from what I understand it's a generic 'fire brigade' key that's required. I bought a FB2 key from amazon but as soon as I saw it, I knew it wouldn't work. I can describe the keyhole as perfectly round, it's really just a little round hole - can anyone help me out here? A link to amazon or another website selling them would be great.

there are also FB 1, 3 and 4 keys - but they all look similar to FB2

Why do you want to get in there - can the meters not be read from outside the cupboard? Access is restricted where there is danger - 240 or 415V

I'm told the doors are locked for 'fire safety only'. I want to get in there so I can read my meter :)

If it's just a round hole it maybe a security bolt, which can be bought in B and Q

The house I'm temporarily living at has a round hole too. A pair of pinchers does the trick. £1 from poundland.

    Hi,

it might just be a simple 'T' key,

    Zimages?q=tbn:ANd9GcTjsc9LGK83X0FlbwB2QX0P1saNjh2-cqWQBGJY8OdKftDVML0RTw

Or as suggested a security key,

if so a suitable sized blade screwdriver should open it.

Can you squint in the hole using a torch?

If you can, it might be worth going to B&Q or equivalnet to see what they have - you might recognise the shape/size more easily in person than when ordering online!

I tried to see inside the keyhole but can't see any shapes or anything - maybe this photo will help?

It looks right to me, we used to have them on our old back door.
