Phone the new supplier, and say as you're still in your cooling off period you wish to cancel the transfer.

May I ask who, and why?
  • The new supplier would be First Utility, about 95% of the reviews ive seen of them say not to go anywhere near them, besides the next best option was only about 3 pounds extra a month and had a 5 star rating for customer service

It might be a good idea to contact your current supplier as well, to ask them to object to the transfer. As you say, FU are not know for the efficiency of customer service.

  • Ive contacted FU earlier and had a 2 minute conversation with a nice lady who did say that my transfer request hadnt gone through and wasnt completed as i hadnt fully completed their transfer request form and as such the process to cancel the transfer was very simple. I also asked and recieved an email confirming my cancelation,in addition i got the ladies name and department she works in so everything seems ok but i will keep an eye on my bank account etc.

Thank you all for your help and advice

    Kind regards Mark
