Halifax Ultimate Reward Mobile Insurance - multiple claims?

Hi

I have claimed on my Halifax Ultimate Reward Mobile Insurance last year.

Now my new phone is giving me problems with the screen.
Am I allowed to claim again, or is there some small print preventing it?

Regards
MR

is the replacement a phone they provided after the claim?
  • Read the small print to find out.

Most limit the number of claims but it is typical 2 every year or 2 years type thing

For the first claim last year, they did not replace the phone - just fixed the screen.

    This is a different phone.

    I did and couldn't find anything suggesting I can't.

That said, experience often thumps small prints. Given the popularity of the Halifax Ultimate Reward Mobile Insurance I would welcome actual experiences before I embark in a losing enterprise.

HOPE YOU TOLD THEM ABOUT THE NEW PHONE or it wont be registered, if you haven't told them about your pone, then only your old phone is covered (they need the number on the phone or battery and sim card to register it i believe)

i have the ultimate reward account as well, i was told you can make as many claims as possible up to the value of £7k (i think it was that price anyway). but then again i was also told i can use my aa breakdown cover as many times as i like, but i read today on a letter they sent me about my ultimate reward (you may have got 1 as well) that i can only call them out 7 times a year and not for the same/simular problems :/. (this was on the back of the letter) so something to do with phone cover might be on there as well. (i cant seem to find my letter now though)

(Best advise i can offer you though is to just go in to halifax and ask them :) )

You don't have to register your phone. But you will need to prove ownership.

Ok, just I was told in the bank a few months ago that I had to phone up to give them the code on of the phone to register it.

Might be different with me though as its my partners phone I wanted covered (which they said was fine) so with it not being my phone, that might be why I need to register it.

According to your link you are mistaken, and you do need to register the phone:

....register your debit cards, credit cards, mobile phone and any pre-existing medical conditions.......

....For your mobile phone insurance, let us know the make and model of your phone, your mobile phone number, the IMEI number........

If you subsequently want to claim, then you also will then have to prove your ownership of the phone you registered.

That is strange because my first phone was fixed by the insurance even though I had not registered it.

Proving ownership won't be a problem.

Anyway, time to get on a call with the friendly insurers I guess.

    Thanks for the inputs.

The phone needs to be registered in order to make a claim but you can register your phone and make a claim pretty much in the same phone call.

I phoned to enquire about getting my phone fixed last year. I was asked some details regarding make, model, ime number. They registered my phone and then passed me through to the claims department.
