I had a policy with protect your bubble over a year ago... i cancelled the policy after making a claim as it was almost impossible to do so. This was about 8 months ago
i got a letter acknowledging the cancellation and direct debit ceased. i cancelled the direct debit with my bank also.
Today I receive a letter telling me that my policy has been renewed, and direct debit setup. I have not asked for this .. i have not contacted them at all. I never ever want another policy with them . I completely despise the company.
This is surely illegal! The same as just stealing money from me.
What are my options . I'd like to see them get in a lot of trouble

Have you contacted them to see how it happened? Have you checked your bank to see if they have debited any money/have a DD set up?
Is it possible its an automated renewal letter (is this around the time your policy would have been up for renewal?)You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I was just going to say the same thing unholyangel.....sounds like the computer has generated an automatic renewel...
You say this is theft....have they actually taken money from your account? Even if they have i don't think it would be theft, just sounds like a mistake. All you need to do is cancel the DD if you haven't already and contact them and get them to cancel the renewel.0 -
Theft - To dishonestly appropriate the property of another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it.
Therefore not "illegal".
A clerical or admin error possibly by way of, as Poppy68 and Unholyangel have already said, an automatic renewal.0
