I've just looked at my account online and there is a transaction which says "Shopperdisc.Co.UK - recurring transaction" I have no idea what this is - is it a scam?

Yikes - first thing to do is check your emails to see if you have bought anything from that address. write down the dates and times these transactions have gone out of your account, as well as how much they have been for. Then take it up with your bank asap. It could be something dodgy, or it could be something legit like sec pay transactions.0

Looks like you have inadvertantly signed up to a subscription service. It's a scam in as much as it isn't worth the money, but it looks like they are upfront about charging you when you sign up. See this thread.0

Thanks for replies. I phoned my bank and they have cancelled my card because there appear to be other unauthorised transactions on my account too.0
