Experian could not take payment from the account

Hi All,
I wonder if someone could help me in this matter. I am in the process of buying a property and signed up for free trial period last month with experian.
Today, when I called them to cancel the subscription I was told that I am already past 30 day limit and would be charged for one month at least. Person on the phone told me that the money could not taken yesterday and I need to update my details on the system as he could not take the payment on the phone.
I promptly updated the card details on the system though I was not able to see what was wrong with the old card details, the visible last four digits and expiry were the same.
Is it considered as a missed payment, will it affect my credit history in any way. I am really worried as we have exchanged the contract and dont want any problem with the credit history at this point.
Any help would be highly appreciated
Many Thanks

Nothing to worry about, just remember to cancel this time

You were phoning to cancel experian and you gave them your up to date account details? Should have just told them you aren't giving them new card details as you wish the account to be closed, you will not receive a late payment, they cant give you a late payment. Payments to Experian are not recorded as this isn't a credit account.

Hope this helpsYou have no rights until you know about them.:)0
