heads up - cheap bacon steaks - but ideas needed please

The macaroni cheese idea sounds good, another suggestion would be to do a spaghetti carbonara if you chop the bacon into small pieces and you have some eggs, leftover cream and pasta around. This is a quick supper and nice served with a chilled glass of wine at the weekend!0

This is a recipe by Jocasta Innes from her Paupers Cookbook. It is so simple, cheap but absolutely delicious. It is one of my favourite bacon recipes! I either make it as a main course or a side dish. I make it quite often .... we just love it

Don't let the cooking time put you off, I always chop everthing really thinly so it will take half the time to cook.0 -
Cook the bacon steaks and warm some pineapple slices and juice and pour on top. Serve with peas and sauteed potatoes.0
