Also, what im saying is why are people not informed about this at the start of the claim?
It all seems so easy and simple and straight forward when it isnt at all, and is far more complicated that it appears.
The information is there, quite prominent in the Reclaim Bank Charges Help Thread (post 7). It is more a case of you not reading the relevant stickies, I am afraid:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=400981Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Foe anyone on benefits or other low income, the whole court claim process can be free. Post number #7 of this thread has a link to the exemptions for court claims.

To be fair you are taking a bank to court, a huge task whereby you need to know the legal issues as well as any costs involved, but you failed to research it properly despite having the entire internet at your fingertips and a massive forum at your disposal right here.
That isnt anyones fault but your own.0 -
It is also on the moneyclaimonline website as well. The costs involved are laid down on this site as well. I appreciate that it is sometimes the hard bit but early on in the claiming proces. ie SAR stage the first thing to do is read as much as possible including the next stages. Many people do rush in without reading. The banks do not simply roll over so you can tickle their bellies.0

Warning! Read The Reclaim Bank Charges Help Thread Before Making A Claim Court Costs. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Now we've established it's my fault for not reading the whole thing properly first. Let me tell you it was because of a tv program Martin Lewis did telling you everything you needed to do with no mention whatsoever of the charges involved and that's why i "rushed" in.
Anyway
Regardless of that i have been to the local county court today to file my allocation questionnaire, and because i am claiming over £1500 i had to pay £100.
The lady behind the desk kindly informed me what happens now so now i have to wait for a court appearance date.
What i wanted to know, is, if it does go to court can i represent myself or will i have to get a solicitor?
I know most people are saying it wont go that far but i want to be prepared just incase.
Has anyone actually gone to court?0
