In short, yesUndersteer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Slightly longer answer (and I don't have VM, and you don't mention which box you have), you probably want an optical digital input on your soundbar, and you probably have an optical digital output on the VM box - go into its settings and make sure it's outputting 5.1 or Dolby Digital.0

beattiesman, can you please keep this thread updated if you take the plunge?
I am considering a sounbar as I seem to get a lot of compression on the sound coming through the TV speakers when watching HD (only the HD) channels through the Tivo box. I'd be interested to know if the soundbar processing clarifies the sound from the HD channels before I buy one.
BTW, I know the Tivo box definitely has an optical output, but would need to check my standard HD box to see if has one also.0
