I've got 2 that live near me, both females. One of them is soft and cuddly, the other one is pretty scary. It doesn't help that the owner's a bit bonkers, she blames everyone else's dog when hers has a go at them. She walks it off the lead despite the fact it won't leave other dog's alone, my dog has fear aggression so we have to quickly go the other way if we see her coming. The other one is well trained and socialised and a fantastic dog.

There's one that frequents our local, bleeding massive, but he's the biggest softie ever. Sign of a fantastic owner as well though.

There are never any guarentees but dogs tend to recognise puppies & accept them without much hassle.

Just remember though, an 8 week old DDB will be not much smaller than a King Charles & could well be heavier, 8-10kg is common.... can the spaniel cope with a playful pup of that size?
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!
