Approached by Bank to claim PPI

Although I tried to make a claim a few years ago, which supposedly failed because my Bank Manager supplied me with the wrong claim form... Last month (Jan 2014), my bank contacted me with regards to PPI...
They detailed every Loan account number I had ever made with them, and all I had to do was explain why I would not have benefited from PPI. Basically I have a Disability...
At first I thought it might be a scam, but the return address was their Head Office address...
I have since received 2 letters, the first to confirm they have received the complaint, and second to confirm that it was week 4, and that they had 8 weeks to deal with the complaint.
So, I was just wondering if anyone else has been approach by their bank...

Yep, well not bank, credit card providers.
MBNA wrote to me and Barclaycard, who had taken over my old EGG card did the same - both claims were successful

What you received is a CCL. lots of lenders are sending them out. It allows them to activate the time bar clock. They cannot do so without the CCL being sent.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Finally, after waiting 2 months, my bank "NATWEST" made me an offer of just over £5,300, which I accepted...
Today was payment day... Thank you NATWEST0
