Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm fick when it comes to computers
I'm trying to set up Outlook Express so that I can divert my yahoo emails to it. I previously used it with yahoo no problems but I've got a new email address now.
I followed the step by step instructions on the yahoo help page but it still wont work.
The error I'm getting is:
My password is definitely correct as I checked it numerous times.
Any help much appreciated x

The error I'm getting is:
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
My password is definitely correct as I checked it numerous times.
Any help much appreciated x

To make sure your password is correct, create a text document (Notepad is fine) & type it there. Then copy & paste it into the required field(s).
Another thing to check is the Server information is correct under Tools>Accounts>Properties>Servers. E.g. it's easy to make the mistake of typing smpt (or variations) instead of the correct smtp in the Outgoing mail field. Click here to see if you're entering the correct info. G0 -
Thanks for the quick reply x
I've solved it - it's a typically blonde thing too (I'm not blonde but should be!)
I went into my yahoo mail and clicked on options, there's a little box there that needs to be ticked 'Access Yahoo! Mail via the web interface and through any email program using POP3 (e.g., Eudora, Outlook, or Netscape Mail).'
Sorry for wasting your time:heart2: Some call it stalking, I call it love:heart2:

I'm glad you solved it
. You wasted about 2 mins of my time for which I'm going to have to charge you £10 - how's that?!
