I returned to speak to a senior vet there and this vet said it was fine for the booster to be given with blood tests.
My dog had the booster, the £30 was waived and everyone was happy.0 -
Meritaten, do you not think the vets in these chains have not also followed the same tough training? Of course they have, they also sign the same animal version of the Hippocratic oath, to do no harm etc.Norn Iron Club member 4730

I love our Vets. I see the same Vet everytime unlike many chains.
This gives me peace of mind which for me is priceless.
I wish everyone could have a share of him, he is a Vet in a million. xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Whilst our vets isn't a chain as such, they do own three practices and I have yet to see the same vet twice, beginning with Scampers right through to missy Shadow. We stay as I am friendly with one of the surgery nurses, who is really fantastic.
We've recieved conflicting advice and think people's head would spin with the counsel - don't neuter before a season, another saying do, don't feed raw bones etc etc and whilst agree they are all fully trained and qualified professionals, I for one certainly felt more at ease with the older vets and wished we had seen a particular one every time as his 'bedside manner' for want of a different phrase was fab and I can remember going to an 'old school' vets with my Nan and her cat when I was a child and it had a far more familiar atmosphere.
