Went on the comparrison site yesterday to switch to The Co-Operative Energy 2016 deal I was looking at, and they have now pulled the tariff!
So now decided to go with EDF Blue price Freeeeze 2017, before
that deal gets pulled too.
At least if a better deal comes out in the future I can exit without a fee.0 -
If you have a early termination charge then how soon would people advise to start the switching process? Our Scottish Power Fixed Rate ends on the 31 March 2014 and looking to move to the NPower fixed for 2 years but don't want to miss out on it. At the moment I have pencilled in to start the switching process 3 weeks (12 March) before current expires0

Six weeks before your contract ends, you should have received notice from SP. that your contract is ending. Once you receive your notice of the end of contract, you are free to switch without paying any early-termination charges. Consumerist thank you for your help. Can you elaborate on why to avoid NPower? The reason I am looking at them is because they have a long fixed with no penalty to leave0 -
It's a question of whether you value your sanity. There have been numerous posts on here concerning npower's lack of customer service; billing problems seem to abound and npower doesn't seem interested in sorting anything out.billykeats wrote: ». . Can you elaborate on why to avoid NPower? . . .
Their complaints statistics are the worst of the big six and are getting even worse, year by year.

Nice to see I'm not the only EDF April 2014 person looking around at the moment. I think I'll start the process at the end of the month. Always a gamble
