Old loan ppi claim

Hi there. I have the paperwork for a completed loan with Sterling Bank and Trust who were based in Abbey Street, Reading, Berks. I know I was mis-sold ppi and want to make a claim. Unfortunately this institution is no longer in existence. Have spent ages researching them but can't find out whether they were dissolved, taken over or what. Can anybody help, please?

If the sale of this loan was before January 2005 and the Broker has gone into liquidation there is no one left to complain to.0
