We go to Spain for this period every year and I'd suggest that it's too long a period to live in just a hotel room. If you book an apartment you can have a more normal amount of space and lifestyle. Lack of transport is no more of a problem self catering than it is in a hotel; location is everything. Find somewhere in the centre of a resort and everything will be within walking distance and they'll have access to public transport.

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced travel insurance for long stay holidays? I am going to go to Canada for 47 days and most annual travel insurance is for 45 days.

    Thanks in advance
