I once had one purporting to be from a mate. The funniest thing? He was sitting right next to me when I received it. :D

Had one two weeks ago allegedly from the husband of a friend. What made me laugh the most was that the husband used to be financial director of Eurostar and certainly wouldn't be emailing me for financial help!
    Maybe this one needed training.

Oh ye of little faith, poor Andy is sitting in the gutter in Donetsk without a penny to his name and probably having to sing for his supper.

I had one almost identical last week - we had a 2 day long email conversation with him convinced that I was sending the money to him via Western Union, it ended with him calling me wicked for leading him on!

Some say my jokes would be a crime 'ere.

(crime 'ere - Crimea - Oh, it's the way I tell 'em!).
