As for the rest....even if they arent willing to accept your word on what the salesman said, you could also still cancel. Just you would be liable for "reasonable" costs incurred by them due to the breach - but they have no entitlement to any sum they could reasonably save (by, for example, finding another customer). In short, for early cancellation I wouldnt reasonably expect to pay more than 2 months notice. Or 1 month + the difference between the monthly rate if paid per month and the monthly rate when on a minimum term contract.You keep using that word.
