Hi
Have ran a report across all PCs in an office with regards to checking usage against licences bought.
Is there any easy way of checking if software is freeware or shareware? I've a list of approx 300 apps to go through here - obviously a lot of obvious ones that require licences but quite a free odd ones.

Why are you allowing any software other than company approved and installed? Not clamping down on this by stopping people installing stuff and running regular audits leaves the company open to both licensing issues and malware.
No corporate would allow this and I see no reason why any smaller organisation should either.0 -

I'm not. I'm performing an audit of a third party's large desktop estate. We are a service management company, this is a new client for us. Just looking to save myself a bit of time.kwikbreaks wrote: »

If it is only a few machines than Belarc Advisor is very useful (*NOTE* it's free for non-comercial use )
