Paris with Disneyland day trip - eurotunnel

I have tried searching the forum and elsewhere but unable to find what I'm looking for!
I'm currently planning a weekend in Paris for the end of March. Looking to book the tunnel.
Firstly my plan is as follows:
Drive to tunnel (3.5 hours) - cross - drive straight to Paris. I was looking at booking the 05.50 tunnel (£46.00) with the view that traffic will be quiet and after crossing we should be in Paris by lunch time.
Looking to spend the rest of the afternoon in Paris then drive to euro disney for the day Saturday and spend Sunday morning in Paris before driving back to the UK.
Firstly has anyone done this? Are we trying to cram too much into too short a period? Should we scrap the idea of Disneyland on the Saturday?
If we keep Disneyland in are we mad to drive when the train is so cheap?
Is parking at hotels common in Paris or will I struggle to find one with parking?
My reasons for wanting to do the above is we have done several weekends away in the last 6 months and like to cram in as much as possible. Neither of us have been to Paris before but it seems a shame to miss disney when we're so close, in addition being just 2 adults we really wouldn't want more than a day in Disney so unlikely to go there unless it's tagged on to this trip.
Can I have peoples thoughts? I'm also looking for recommendations on hotels in Paris less than £150/ night with easy access to touristy bits (ideally walking). We like to be in an area with some where to eat and a bar within walking distance.
On a separate issue with the tunnel it asks for registration plate, do you know if you can amend this if we changed our mind on what car to take? If so is there a charge?

I did a day trip to Disney (cheap chunnel tickets for day trips), the hardest part of the trip was forking out about 50 euros in toll fees on the French side from Calais to Paris! What an absolute rip off.
Plenty of time to do one of the Disney parks in a day, you probably couldn't do both though. I certainly would recommend it, you're already nearby and it's a shame to miss it off.
I found it incredibly easy to drive to and would drive again in preference to taking the train!
Hope that helps a little.0 -
You are unlikely to find hotels with parking in the centre of any city and if you do it would not be cheap. Probably better to stay on the outskirts near Disney and get the RER train into Paris.0

Thank you for the replies.
Driving doesn't bother me either and I have done longer drives for less time in resort I'm just concerned that two half days in Paris is just a waste of time.
I'm not so much a fan of getting the train to Paris because we would then be left with two short days in Disney which means paying more entrance fees for no longer in resort.
Thinking about it, the best option would be to leave the uk the afternoon before, staying either in Folkestone or Calais then driving to Paris early getting a full day there then drive to disney, spend Saturday in Disney and have a lie in Sunday before heading back to the tunnel. Thinking about it I think this is the best option giving us the best of both worlds.
Also takes me back to the question - where would we park in Paris!!
Which would be cheaper and what would people recommend - a night in Folkestone or a night in Calais? I imagine any price difference in the tunnel would be a deciding factor as don't imagine them to differ too much in price?0 -
If you are staying in a hotel at Disney then I would suggest parking there and getting the RER train. Motorway A1 then A104. RER line A trains from Marne la Vallee - Chessy run every few minutes take you to the centre of Paris in just over half an hour.
Driving into the centre will be slow and it will be difficult and expensive to find parking. The only time I would consider driving and parking in Paris is in August when everyone is on holiday, the city is quiet and parking restrictions are not enforced much.0 -
Definitely park at a hotel near Disney and get the train into Paris.0
