in Credit cards
Hi,
I bought a PC on credit from Comet a few years back. They set me up with a Comet Edge card and payments of £28 have been coming out since. When Comet went into administration this converted to Santander Cards who carried on taking payments. My statement last month showed that £153 was still owed, however this months statement came through today showing a credit adjustment of £400, bringing me £274 in credit. Their offices are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm so I thought I would come on here as I won't be available to make a call for the next few days. I have two questions:
a) why would there have been such a large interest adjustment? For me to now be this much in credit it means I have been paying for almost 10 months longer than I have needed to.
b) do I have to reach out to Santander to get this money back or will they automatically issue a cheque / pay the money into my bank account?
Many thanks
Tim

Santander cards have recently wrote to both me and my husband as well as my brother who all had edge cards, basically in 2010 there was an error where annual statements were not sent which apparently means that they are not able to charge interest from that point, and they have been. Reimbursing customers. I got a cheque for 472 because my account has been closed for a while, my brother they paid off his balance and sent him a cheque for the credit so I assume u will be receiving a cheque soon0
