so what will I be charged for in my phone tariff?

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has ever had this experience?
Took out a new contract with Vodaphone (regretting it slightly already). After 1 day checked my account and noticed I've been charged for a call that I didn't know I would be charged for, and '08' number.
I then decided on web chatting to an adviser that took 1 hour and 40 minutes to go round the houses and promise me a detailed listing of call charges that would apply to my all inclusive package (unlimited texts, calls and 1gb data) I had signed up for!
This arrived this morning .... it was just a copy of my phone contract with no mention of any charges at all!
After another long call today with a different person, this time on the phone, I did get an email with a detailed list of what is and what is not included in my all inclusive unlimited everything.
This was hand typed and in one long paragraph.
Is this really too much to ask for? Just a list of call charges for my particular tariff and whether or not I am going to incur a cost for sending picture messages etc?
Does nobody ever ask for this? Stupidly I thought I would get this information with my phone when it was posted -or should I of asked for it before I signed up?
Can anyone tell me if this is common practice not to be given or know this information?

Based on my own 'unlimited' package with O2, 08 numbers are not included, nor are MMS picture messages.
You seem to have the information now, but the time to ask questions is always before signing, in every situation.0 -
It's really not hard to find on the website http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/pay-monthly/call-charges/index.htm0

but that's just it! the charge list on line says 15p per text, and 35p per minute for non geographic numbers including 08 numbers ...it lists all the charges for everything ... but my tariff says unlimited minutes, and texts, but doesn't mention to where I'm calling or what type of text, hence my call to the customer services as I don't know what I'm going to be charged for or not.
I understand this is a daft question after I've signed up .. but it was like getting blood out of a stone for them to detail the information for me.0 -

Is this your first ever phone contract?
The inclusions are usually always the same no matter which network your with.
Free calls to 01/02/03 numbers
Free calls to UK Mobiles
Free text messages to UK Mobiles0 -
yes it is ...I feel I got a bit carried away with it all. I am not unhappy with what I've got ... just the fact I've had such a hard time in getting the information I need to avoid getting charged more that I need to and avoid certain calls/messages if possible.

The link I posted clearly says standard calls and texts, with a line stating they are charges if you go over your plan allowance, as you have unlimited you would not be charged.
Right underneath for the non-geographical charges it says that none of them are included in your plan allowance0 -
If you are in the habit of calling '08' numbers, then you might want to install 'WeQ4U'.Never Knowingly Understood.

The list includes picture messaging charges, normal messaging charges and 'normal calls' and '08' calls charges .. but I've since found out in the plan I have, normal texts and calls are unlimited (with no charge as expected) and the message texts and '08' calls are chargeable.
I hadn't been told or could not get anything in writing that clearly stated what was and what was not chargeable on my plan. This was my problem.
It's all sorted now - but the fact that it is not clear to me or could not be detailed other than a massive hand written paragraph of text from Vodaphone seems ridiculous.0 -
Are you reading the same page as me? 08 numbers are not included in the list, only 01, 02, 03 are included. Picture messages may or may not be included depending on your contract, mine allows 10 each month free, after that they revert to standard charges.0

Also beware, doubtless you'll be charged for some 07*** numbers too - that number block isn't just mobiles but includes Isle of Man mobiles (note - many 'cheap'/'free' sim cards are actually IOM or similar), personal redirect numbers etc. which will not be in your allowance.0
