The first minister Peter Robinson is threatening to resign after the c0ck-up which allowed a suspected IRA terrorist to walk free after the Hyde Park bombing

  • I strongly suspect there could be resignations. depends on who knew what and when they knew it.
  • All chest beating over something that doesn't really matter anyway because even if he does go to court, it'll cost the tax payer millions in legal fees and even if he is found guilty he'll probably not have to serve any time as it'll all come under the Good Friday Agreement and all the dodgy deals done then.....

Right or wrong, it's completely pointless to pursue him at this stage..
  • To be honest also, I can't say we'd really notice if they did all resign !! Apart from our bills going down as we wouldn't have to pay for those Muppets !!

Deals within deals and they all did not know! I would sooner believe in the tooth fairy.

It is in the run up to the next round of elections. Expect lots of breast beating, effrontery, blaming, and all the rest of the sensorial nonsense.

Would most of us notice any real difference if the local government collapsed? Hardly a beacon of hope and pillar of high standards, known for its hard graft in the interests of us low life. Seriously if there were a poll how high (1-10) would you score the administration. Totally weary of the lot of them (well most. Some do a lot of work, but the overall simply does not work. No opposition! No collective vision..........).

Power and money are what's important to the DUP therefore this is posturing and not principle.

    No DUP resignations.

Peter the great didnt resign when Iris dropped her panties ,he wont do it now .

Dennis Bradley says they all knew what was going on

Former NI Policing Board vice-chairman Denis Bradley has said that he was surprised to hear that Unionists were not aware of the on-the-run cases as a detailed briefing on the scheme had been given to the Policing Board.

Would it not be the best policy ( and very interesting) if all political parties unionist, nationalist, republican and none of above were to openly publish any and all "deals" done behind closed doors which remain secret and allow the voting public to see just what was done in their name.
I expect this is wishful thinking however as by its very nature if one party has a secret deal done they will be unlikely to wish to bring it out in the open. This leaves the one part who was privy to all the secret deals who could tell the full story but then could we really believe any british government to tell the truth??......

This couldn't be done for what they would deem "national security," to be fair our country is no more corrupt than any other.
