What to do with equity from property sale?

I'm about to start the process of selling a flat. I'm not buying another just yet (and probably won't for a year or two) so I will need to find somewhere to invest the proceeds - which could be between 60-80k depending on how much it goes for.
What's the best thing to do with it? Split it up into several good savings accounts or try a bond or similar?

Santander 123 account will take 20k at 3% and I believe you can have more than one. Premium bonds are often recommended but personally I am not a fan. Too short a timescale for most other investments. Search the forum - lots of threads on this.0
