Help re mib
A relative has had a letter from the mib saying their car was invovled in an accident last year & didn't stop.
My relative wasn't in that place (300miles away) at that time.
Does anyone have any advice or experience to share please?

Dont panic and dont immediately scream fraud/ scam
These things happen occasionally with people miss noting down vehicle registrations etc.
Do what they instruct you to on the letter. If the MIB is involved you may also get a letter from your insurer at the time about the same incident in which case respond to them calmly too explaining you were 300 miles away at the time etc0 -
If your relative is 100% certain they weren't there at that time, they should deny it and ask the MIB what evidence they have to support their claim. All your base are belong to us.0
