After PPI reclaiming success

After claiming successfully for missold PPI :) do you have to cancel your insurance or will the company cancel automatically when the reclaim process is complete? My job is under threat at the moment and want to keep the insurance running in the short term

  • If you've "claimed successfully", you don't have a policy anymore?

You made a complaint to void the policy. You won that complaint. So, there should be no policy in existence now.

  • My wife successfully complained on her Halifax critical illness policy which was bought at the time she arranged her mortgage. Halifax payed out a few years ago but we are continuing to pay our monthly payment

That is monthly premium. Not single premium. It also is not PPI so the complaint would not be linked to PPI reasons.

  • I had to cancel my HSBC PPI policy after receiving redress or it would have continued.
