Hello
I'm looking for a small wireless camera to attach near my bird table, so that I'm able to watch the activity of the birds feeding.
My living room is about 12 - 15m away.
I would like something to connect to my TV or iPad, without too many cables.
I don't mind spending a bit to get the right thing.
Can you advise of something suitable?
Thanks

The power won't get there wirelessly !
so might as well be cabled ?
battery ones tend to be motion detection triggered to get any sort of battery life
"The Netgear VueZone battery life is supposed to last six months with "normal usage." Digging deeper, TechRadar found out that this is defined as five minutes of viewing per day."

I knew about the power bit and can get to a power source 5m away.
I just want to leave the unit outside for about 2 - 3 hours at a time, without running cables across to the tv.
How do those cameras fitted inside a bird box work?0 -

can you send the signal to a laptop and record it on the laptop?
Yes, through a capture card on the laptop.
Does that mean that output can't be recorded onto the HDD of a PVR (Personal Video Recorder)?
The detailed spec for this kit is here0 -
PVR's generally don't have inputs to record video
DVD recorders do0 -
Thanks for all the replies.0

One of these Tervis wireless IPCAM's here for £33 would be suitable.
Or you could get it from Amazon for only £1 more

For the sake of £1, I would much prefer to get it from a reputable dealer, one who didn't try to evade responsibility by stating that unless you pay an extra £2 for postal insurance, they won't be liable for loss or damage.0 -
Is there a reason this needs to be transmitted? Would a small camera with 3hr digital recording capability not work just as well? That way you could retain footage and perhaps keep/edit together any highlights.0
