I wasn't aware of any notices when I left probably because of very few signs and inadequate lighting.
A simple google of Holly Street Sheffield reveals that it is mainly residential but has a pub - was this where you parked?
Take photos of signage - if you can both daytime and night time.
Again I ignored these and didn't recieve any further correspondance until she passed on to me this County Court Claim form issued on 18th February 2014.
Date of service is 5 days from date on form - you need to acknowledge the claim that you will defend in full before day 14 - this then allows up to 28 days FROM service to file initial defence
Any information on how to defend this would be greatly appreciated, should I part admit or fully defend. Also I have an unpaid CCJ already against my name so as my credit rating is already negatively affected should I just ignore?
You certainly don't want to get another unpaid CCJ against your name then! If the outstanding CCJ is still unpaid - is there any way you can satisfy this - at least it can be recorded then on your credit file as satisfied. As you know CCJ's remain on your credit file for 6 years. Adding another one will do you NO favours whatsoever.
If i'm to defend on what ground can I defend now and would I need legaal help in defending, the claim is for £100 + £15 (court costs) & £50 (solicitor) totalling £165
I am sure by now you will have read the sticky threads with all the links and advice including the one to Parking Pranksters website and claim guides.
Coupon will help you with a defence as will other forum members - but you need to help yourself in the first instance.
To add insult to injury today i've received a Debt Recovery Plus letter for overstay at a free car park in a separate incident. From what I understand I should wait for the claim again and defend it in a similar fashion?
Is this the same car park or different?
This second incident depends on several factors including which PPC. The advice on how to deal with Debt Recovery Plus is again all explained in the NEWBIE thread. If this is Parking Eye then it would be foolish just to wait for court papers - when you can respond now.0 -

The situation realtes to a PCN from Parking Eye issued 21/08/2013 through their number recognition cameras, I had parked late at night in a car park on Holly Street in Sheffield on reccomendation from a friend. I wasn't aware of any notices when I left probably because of very few signs and inadequate lighting.
A few weeks later I recieved the PCN and on doing my research followed out of date advise to ignore, I moved following a break in my relationship to my ex and she passed on other reminders including a letter she signed for. Again I ignored these and didn't recieve any further correspondance until she passed on to me this County Court Claim form issued on 18th February 2014.

This is most helpful for us too as we are in a similar situation, albeit we had purchased a ticket but it overran by 22 minutes - as the car park time starts at the time you enter the car park and finishes when you exit (by camera numberplate recognition).
I'm more annoyed that I cleaned out the car and don't have the ticket !!!!!!NEWBIES: visit the newbie sticky thread first, then create your own thread if your scenario isn't covered.
Household and travel > Motoring > Parking tickets, fines and parking > click on 'new thread' AFTER reading the newbie sticky - IT REALLY IS EXTREMELY USEFUL :wall:0 -

Please start your own thread - as hijacking others is not helping you for specific guidance.0 -

Thanks for your advice. I plan on doing the photos but its actually the middle of town, no houses all pubs. I'm going to visit the car park next week and try and work out who the landowner is as from memory it doesn't actually back on to anywhere.
It is in fact the same PPC but a different car park.0 -
I would take the other option - the NEWBIES thread says if you think you are 'too late to appeal' consider sending an appeal anyway. Certainly with PE as they are so litigious, as you know! I would send an online appeal like the example first appeal in the sticky, so you know you haven't ignored that ticket and to see what drivel comes back.
You can ignore a debt collector but I wouldn't ignore PE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
