37 year old full time student needs help!

Hello, I am 37 and studying on a access to higher education degree. I have moved in with my partner to try and save a bit of money. The problem I have is I have no income and seem to be ineligible to claim anything. Before I started the course I was receiving JSA but that stopped due to the hours I am at college. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Dan.

    Simple answer, get a part-time job. The access course is max 20hrs a week contact hours, so you can easily fit study and a job around that
  • You can try in restaurants, my friend is also full time student and work when he wants

    If you are living with a partner, they are expected to support you.
    Part-time work is your best option.
    Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

  • Hi I don't know which course is or isn't eligible for funding but you can try this student finance calculator here;

    hmm actually I am not allowed to post a link but it is the government website and is titled 'student finance calculator'

    It does take into account your partners income. However, if you are a low income household you may still be eligible for some financial help according to this.
