Nationwide new 0% offer 26 months

Just out of interest, what credit limits have people been offered on this (you can do a quote with no impact on credit record) - I had a look and it provisionally came up with the full 26 month period at 0% and a £7k limit.

Is the the standard max?

  • I have an income of £50k, good credit history (no missed payments, mortgage etc), but quite a lot of credit card debt (around £12k on 3 0% BTs) and my 2 day-to-day credit cards with a limit of £7k and £500 always paid off in full.

Probably because of the existing debt, I only got offered a £1k limit. I didn't accept - not worth having the search recorded for just £1k of credit!

Thanks BADBT - really useful post.
I'm on 60k, good credit history with no missed payments etc..., £2k of CC debt (mostly work expenses that get paid off, then build up again, £9k personal loan with nationwide. Just interested as my last BT card (3 years ago) with MBNA/Virgin Money came in at £15k limit without me asking or needing it. I've only just closed this so my credit report may have not updated yet and still showing this as available.

Where do I go to find out?

You go partway through their application process - up to the "quote" point where it then asks you if you want to accept and formally apply. Up to that point it is clear that there is no credit check.
