Have you any bids that has knocked out your BIN price?

nope.... it is a straight forward bin, with a best offer option..

  • Perhaps they don't understand how best ofer and BIN works? Is it a new buyer? They may think that it's an auction and have to offer the best price over the price you're asking.

    For 1p more I wouldn't say it's a scam.

Maybe a buyer who will only buy if the price is exact to the pound?

you share the excess payment I will give you my view ;)

When I am looking for things (auto type just corrected that to 'thongs' ..... that could have been fun) I will usually draw up a mental or written list of the costs ..... £3.99 + p&p 2.99 = £7 , and so on ...... I find it easer to judge/ compare prices. It would then not be that far removed to easily make the mistake of typing £17 instead of £16.99

lol that would have made a far more amusing comment.

Why would they want to type a best offer of £16.99 if that's the BIN price? £17 instead of £16 or £15 maybe as an offer. Or maybe £14 and they're using a number pad where 7 is right above 4, be easy to catch the wrong one.
  • I had a similar situation and it turned out they included postage in their offer.

e.g. item £10 + £2 postage and they offer £11 thinking postage is covered. I explained postage is added after (on top of the offer) and the offer was changed to £9.

Of course if you have free postage then it's not this...
  • I often get people offering an amount and they say ''Postage included in offer'' so it could be that.

  • 99.9% of the items I list include the postage ( free p&p)...I excepted it, so just waiting for payment lol...
